Ab initio…

Well, this blog is getting started a little later than I wanted, but I was stuck in Damascus (thanks Aeroflop!) longer than I wanted and was only able to survey Moscow for a mere 36 hours before jetting back home to America. So, essentially, the trip became a komandirovka.

Briefly, Moscow did not disappoint, although with all the good stuff being closed for Medvedev’s inauguration (which I unintentionally tried to crash twice), that was annoying. On the bright side, I got the job so I can look forward to visiting McLenin et al. shortly.

In the meantime, let’s see what we can do about lengthening Moscow’s summertime.
